The Cider House Farm Caravan Park
This is an outstanding site for camping for any holiday. It is caravaning at its best. Beside being a beautiful setting to park your camper, i.e. caravan, the campground and caravan sites are clean and extremely well maintained. Now how do we know all this? Well we have camped there with our Alaskan Camper and we were so favorably impressed that we had to tell everyone. Richard Pilgrim, the 'gentleman of gentleman- farmers', has set aside a portion of his large sprawling farm for caravan campers. He is undoubtedly the epitome of a gentleman and is a gracious host.
A Central Location

This is a good central point from which to explore Lewes and its castle and shops; stay away from the prison up on the hill they frown on using the parking lot as a turn-around. Another fine spot is The Chequers Inn, at Maresfield near Uckfield for great steak and kidney pie, hospitality and brew; you are welcome to sit in the fire place. Someone intimated to us that Winnie the Pooh lived close by so we had to find out if this were true and sure enough by Ashdown there was Pooh.
